Our Partner Councils

NISCC is the regulatory body for the social care workforce in Northern Ireland. We are also the NI member of the UK Alliance ‘Skills for Care & Development’, which is the Sector Skills Council for training and development of the social care, children’s and young people’s workforce. Care Council for Wales

Responsible for regulation and registration of the social care workforce in Wales. It promotes and regulates social care education and training and provides guidance on social work training and development.

Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC) - England 

Responsible for workforce development and skills strategy for the Children, Young People and Families’ workforce in England. A partner in the UK Alliance of Skills for Care & Development.

General Social Care Council - England

Responsible for regulation and registration of the social care workforce in England. Responsible for regulating social work training and development. A partner in the UK Sector Skills Alliance of Skills for Care and Development
