Registrants' Committee
Social Care workers are faced with enormous challenges everyday whilst carrying out their duties. The NISCC Registrants’ Committee is a forum to provide advice and representation to the Council on Registrants’ views and issues relating to social care registration and regulation. It will also help to develop better communication and understanding between the Council and its Registrants. The forum will not be able to provide advice or representation on individual conduct cases.
Over the last six months, the Registrant’s Committee has been working to gain an understanding of the Council’s business as a social care regulator and to identify how they can help to inform and influence these activities to ensure they reflect the views and expectations of the workforce. Membership details, updates from meetings and terms of reference for the Registrants’ Committee are available below.
This forum aims to bring fundamental issues affecting and concerning Registrants of the Council to the attention of the Council. We can only do that if there are clear lines of communication between the Forum and the registrants we are tasked with to represent. To this end I would encourage people to raise issues with their respective trade union, staff organisation, professional association or student representative, who can share this with us. You can also contact the Registrants Committee through writing to us confidentially at the NISCC address or by email to: registrants.committee@nisocialcarecouncil.org.uk
